Acura automakers have confirmed the development of the Acura Integra, scheduled for a 2023 release and an official unveiling in 2022. Here’s everything we know so far about the compact sports car and speculations we can infer from spy photos.

The Engine

There is no official word on what’s under the hood, but we suspect a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. There may also be the option for an upgrade to a more robust turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engine types are likely to be mated to a CVT automatic transmission.

Two or Four Doors?

One of the biggest questions people have been asking is whether the luxury sports car will be available as a two- or four-door model, or both. The previous Acura Integra was available in both. Spy photos of a test model revealed a two-door prototype.

Technology Specifications

No details have been confirmed about what’s in the cabin. However, technology features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility as well as Sirius XM satellite radio are expected to come standard. In the safety department, standard safety implementations may include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and a cross-traffic alert system.

The Exterior

Spy photos have revealed some details about the exterior. This includes a pronounced sloped hood with slim headlights, giving it an aggressive appearance befitting of a coupe. In the rear, the fascia takes on a back-glass shape, complemented with LED taillights. The exhaust pipe also stands out with its center trapezoidal design.
