Simply put, our cars are powerful and fun to drive. So it’s no surprise to us that the 2017 Acura NSX and the 2018 Acura TLX will show what they can do at a big racing event this month.
Both models will make their way to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and they’re sure to make a splash among the high-performance cars in attendance. The Acura TLX A-Spec will make its racing debut this year in the Exhibition class. It comes outfitted with a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that can produce 500 horsepower, so we like its odds. It’s also been equipped with a modified suspension that will help it handle the course.
That’s not the only Acura TLX model to make an appearance though. The Acura TLX GT is an all-wheel drive racer with a twin-turbo V6 engine. Its suspension has been adjusted for this event and the Acura TLX GT has also been outfitted with some more aerodynamic features. It will compete in the Open class.
And of course, this wouldn’t be a true gathering of the performance cars without an Acura NSX model. This vehicle racing in the Time Attack 2 class will take some inspiration from the Acura NSX GT3 race car. It’s lighter than the production model and comes equipped with a new rear wing and other aerodynamic features. We can’t wait to see how these Acura cars perform in their races!
