If you’ve visited us here at Acura of Peabody, you may have noticed that some of your favorite vehicles had received a refresh for the new model year. Models like the 2019 Acura RDX and the 2019 Acura TLX are making big changes and paving the way for a whole new generation of Acura models. The next vehicle to receive some updates is the Acura ILX, and the 2019 model will be better than ever.

The 2018 Acura ILX is widely known as our entry-level model. It’s smaller and less expensive than the Acura TLX or Acura RLX, but it still has a lot to offer. Some patent photos recently revealed that the 2019 Acura ILX is getting some significant exterior changes. The most obvious, and probably predictable, is its new front grille. We’ve seen models like the Acura RDX with this new front grille, inspired by a recent Acura concept, so it’s no shock that it’s coming to other models as well.

The headlights on this new Acura sedan will be a little shorter and sleeker than the ones found on the 2018 model. The lower air intakes have been redesigned and have clearly been influenced by the 2019 Acura TLX. We don’t know what changes the rear of the car is getting just yet, but we’d bet on a new bumper and taillights.

The interior could also receive some updates, including a new setup for the infotainment system. Expect the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, with an output of 201 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, to carry over to the 2019 model. We can’t wait to see it for ourselves.
