Our Acura dealership proudly serves the Greater Boston area, but we don’t just offer local drivers luxurious cars. The new and pre-owned vehicles on our lot also offer performance that might surprise you. Even a crossover like the 2019 Acura RDX has the power you need to really appreciate everything on the road ahead. That’s why all of us here at Acura of Peabody were excited to see a modified version of the Acura RDX at this year’s SEMA Show.

The SEMA Show is where aftermarket tuners and automakers show off their latest automotive upgrades. They take models that are already impressive, like the 2019 Acura RDX, and outfit them with upgrades and new parts that make them stand out in a crowd. Some updates are just cosmetic, but the new Acura RDX is actually getting a power boost at this year’s show.

The 2019 Acura RDX has an output of 272 horsepower. For SEMA, its 2.0-liter turbo engine was outfitted with a variety of new parts that made it even more potent. A new intake, an aftermarket downpipe, and even new exhaust manifolds were a part of the package. With a little bit of work, this stylish crossover was able to get up to 345 horsepower!

This customized Acura vehicle was also equipped with new brakes, bigger wheels, and sport springs that lowered its ride height. Some cosmetic updates included carbon fiber garnish on the mirrors and new grille accents. Inside you’ll see more carbon fiber parts and even a custom steering wheel. We think that the sporty 2019 Acura RDX definitely made an impression at this year’s SEMA Show.
