We’re happy to report that these impressive cars are receiving some major upgrades, with new features that will make infotainment systems easier to use and less distracting than ever.
The 2019 Acura RDX will be the first model to introduce a new, more intuitive way of controlling your car’s infotainment system. There will be just one screen, instead of a dual-screen layout that may have confused some drivers. Now you’ll be able to use a touchpad in the center console to control access to every menu and function. Touching this new touchpad is almost exactly like touching the corresponding part of the infotainment system’s screen, making it easy to access any feature you happen to need at the moment.
There will also be a second, smaller touchpad located right next to this one. That’s because the 10.2-inch screen will be separated into two sections that allow you to view two different sets of data, like audio and navigation, at the same time. The smaller touchpad would correspond to the smaller side of the screen. Both of these touchpads are easy to find without requiring you to take your eyes off of the road. The Acura brand is always working on ways to cut down on driver distractions and make in-car technology easier to use. This new touchpad manages to do both, while ensuring that your favorite Acura vehicles keep offering all of the features that you need.
