The 2022 Acura ILX is out, and it boasts some notable changes from its previous iterations. There are new design elements both in the exterior and interior that are worth discussing. Let’s have a look at these modifications, which are far from just minor touchups.

Exterior Updates

Overall, the exterior will have a more aggressive styling. One notable change is the lowering of the bumper, which gives the impression of a lower ground clearance and, therefore, a sportier appearance. In addition, the sedan will also have 18-inch wheels and a glossy black decklid spoiler.

In the front, the front fascia has been reshaped with sleeker-looking headlights. The Diamond Pentagon grille, present in the 2021 model, makes a return as well.

That’s not all – the exterior frame is glazed in premium paint technology, where the tinted clear coat provides an exceptionally glossy finish.

Interior Updates

There are quite a few modifications. For starters, the premium trim includes a twin-screen infotainment system. The upholstery is clad in synthetic leather, though buyers have the option to upgrade to genuine leather along with a four-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seat. The steering wheel and door panels can also be graced in authentic leather as further optional upgrades.

Additional interior features like a six-speaker stereo system and a USB port are included as standard, while HD radio and an upgraded ELS Studio® 10-speaker stereo system are available add-ons.
