What comes under the hood?
The 2016 Acura RDX comes powered by 3.5-liter V6 that generates 279 horsepower and 252 pound-foot of torque. It comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front-wheels. Drivers can opt for all-wheel drive as well. In testing an all-wheel drive model accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, which is pretty speedy for the small crossover SUV segment.

How are the safety scores?
In testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2016 Acura RDX earned a perfect 5 Star Overall rating as well as perfect five star ratings in total front impact and total side impact. The IIHS also gave the small crossover its top score of Good in all five crash tests.
