Each year U.S. News & World Report awards those vehicles that offer consumers the best bang for their buck. They use a methodology that combines quality and value data into one composite score with the highest scoring vehicle in each class earning the distinction of being a Best Car for the Money. Quality is measured by the overall score a vehicle earns in the U.S News car rankings and Value is measured by a combination of a vehicle’s five-year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for the vehicle at the time the awards are published.

The 2016 Acura MDX is a three-row luxury crossover SUV that has topped the 3-Row SUV category for four consecutive years while the 2016 Acura TLX is a midsize luxury sedan that has earned the top spot since it was introduced back in 2014. Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of Acura, had this to say about these two new Acura models earning these awards:

Having our best-selling luxury SUV and performance sedan earn the Best Cars for the Money distinction in consecutive years demonstrates our ability to consistently provide our customers with outstanding performance, quality, and reliability.
